Ryan Wardle

Associate General Counsel

Ryan Wardle joined the Office of the General Counsel in July 2025. His primary areas of practice include international matters, particularly in support of Arizona International.

Prior to joining the University of Arizona, Ryan most recently served as an Attorney-Adviser detailed from the Department of Defense to the U.S. Department of State's Office of the Legal Adviser, where he advised senior leadership in implementing, drafting, and negotiating complex international agreements with foreign partners, regulators, and enforcement counsel worldwide. Ryan served over 20 years in the U.S. Army Judge Advocate General’s Corps advising senior military and civilian leaders across a broad spectrum of legal areas including criminal, national security, regulatory compliance, and international law.

 Mr. Wardle is a graduate of the University of Rhode Island (B.A., 2001 with highest distinction), Suffolk University Law School (J.D., 2004 magna cum laude), and the U.S. Army Judge Advocate General’s Legal Center and School (LL.M., 2014). He is a member of the State Bar of Massachusetts and is pending admission to the State Bar of Arizona.
