Douglas Seacord
Doug Seacord joined the Office of the General Counsel in June 2025. His primary areas of practice include compliance and transactional matters, particularly in support the University’s online educational initiatives.
Prior to joining the University of Arizona, Mr. Seacord most recently served as Associate General Counsel at Missouri Western State University, where he advised and supported faculty and staff across campus on a wide range of matters including student affairs, contracts, policy development, public records requests, and compliance. Additionally, while an associate at a Missouri law firm, he supported a number of private postsecondary institutions in accreditation, Title IV, ADA, employment, compliance, and other matters, including proceedings before the Office of Hearings and Appeals of the Department of Education.
Mr. Seacord is a graduate of the University of Missouri (B.A., English, 2007), the University of Liverpool (M.A., English, 2013), and the University of Missouri (J.D., 2016, cum laude). He is a member of the State Bars of Missouri, Illinois, and Kansas, and is pending admission to the State Bar of Arizona.
